Pet of the Week: Meet Samson!

Meet Samson! This kitty came to AFRP after a Good Samaritan dropped him off at Hitchcock Road Animal Services. It's suspected he was hit by a car and he required a right forelimb amputation, officially making him a tri-pawd!

This love bug is now on the hunt for his furever home! He absolutely loves tummy rubs and most importantly chin scritches! Initially timid upon arrival to his fosters home, Samson has been making great strides in warming up! A loving and patient adopter would be best for this little guy, someone who may be home through the day to keep him company and continue his positive socialization. Since life with three legs is still pretty new to him, Samson may take some extra time getting his bearings, but he's had nothing but progression since his amputation!

Adult adopters or families with children over the age of 10 would be preferred for Samson. He has not been introduced to other cats or dogs at this time so it is uncertain how he will be in a home with them, slow and gradual introductions should be in pace with any resident animal in the home.

You can submit an adoption application at www.animalfriendsrescue.org. Meet and Greets can be arranged once your application has been approved.

You can also attend one of AFRP's adoption events happening Sunday, July 28th at Pet Food Express in Carmel from 11am to 2pm. AFRP is currently running a Summer Adoption Special! Until September 22nd, long term animals are only $30 to adopt for dogs and only $15 for cats!
