Pet of the Week: Meet Kirk!
Meet Kirk! This Star Trek kitty came to Animal Friends Rescue Project from Hitchcock Road Animal Services with his two other littermates (Uhura and Una who have both been adopted!). Kirk is now the last of his litter still seeking his purrfect forever home!
Kirk is a charming kitten who absolutely loves receiving attention and will smother you in headbutts and leg-hugs just to get it! His fosters say he does great with dogs and people, although he can be a bit shy in new environments he is quick to warm up!
Kirk would love to find a home with another confident cat to show him the ropes and would do fine in a home with a cat-savvy pup but needs to be introduced to other animals in the home slowly over time. His preferred home would be with adult adopters or with families with children over the age of six. Adopters who are able to be home during the day to smother him in all the loving would be best!

Animal Friends Rescue Project will be at the Summer Live Music Series at the Carmel Plaza on Friday June 28th. They will also be at the Monterey Peninsula Pride Parade on Saturday June 29th from 11am to 4pm, and you can Meet the Animals at the Pet Food Express at 3300 Crossroads Blvd on Sunday June 30th from 11am-2pm.
