Pet of the Week: Meet Ira!
Meet Ira! whose sister is Isha, who was featured on Pet of the Week two weeks ago and already in her furrever home! You may recall that the litter of three kittens was rescued by Our Neighborhood Pet Project after they were found in a feral colony in Greenfield.
After their mom was spayed, she was returned to her colony, and while Ira’s sister and brother have been adopted already, Ira is still patiently waiting in her foster home in Salinas for her furrever home.
Ira is about 11 weeks old and an adorable brown tabby girl. Now that her siblings are adopted, she’s made friends with other foster kittens in her foster home. She is rapidly growing up and becoming a master at all the kitten skills. As a medium energy kitten, Ira has been more mellow than her siblings, letting them take charge while she relaxes and just takes everything in. But Ira is a curious girl who loves to play, and the wand toy is a clear favorite.
Of course, her other favorite times are snack time and mealtime! Ira enjoys attention and
cuddles, and we expect she will be even more friendly as she grows older. Ira will be happy in a wide
variety of homes with medium to high activity levels and children mature enough to safely handle a
younger, more delicate kitten.
If you're interested in adopting Ira or another animal, you can submit an adoption application at www.ourneighborhoodpetproject.org.
You can also go to their next adoption event, happening on Saturday, June 29th at SNIPville Pet Care in Prunedale, from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm. Multiple animal rescue groups will be participating and they will have both dogs and cats!
