Pet of the Week: Meet Isha!

Meet Isha!, one of three kittens rescued by Our Neighborhood Pet Project (ONPP) after they were found in a feral colony in Greenfield. Because Isha and her siblings were less than a week old, their mom was also rescued so she could continue to take care of them and be spayed before returning to her colony. Isha and her siblings will remain with their foster family in Salinas until ONPP finds them furrever homes.

Isha about 9 weeks old and an adorable calico girl. She and her siblings are rapidly growing up and mastering vital kitten skills. All of them were recently spayed and neutered, so they are ready for adoption
now. Isha has shown a tendency to take charge and is usually the first out of the crate in a new place and often will be the first to meet a new person.

Isha is a very curious girl who loves to play, especially when the wand toy comes out. She already knows what a pretty girl she is and happily poses in the cutest positions when there’s a camera around. While her brother Ivan was recently adopted out, her tabby sister Ira is also available for adoption, making them an excellent choice for a family looking for a pair of kittens to adopt since they are already buddies. Because she’s already pretty confident, we expect that Isha will continue to become even more friendly as she grows older. As a very young kitten, Isha will do best in an active home with other companions around most of the day.

You can submit an adoption application at www.ourneighborhoodpetproject.org. Their next adoption event is this Saturday, June 15th, at Brad’s Barkery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm. There will be multiple animal rescue groups participating and they will have both cats and dogs at this event!
