Pet of the Week: Meet Greg Brady!

Happy Adopt a Cat Month! Introducing Greg Brady (aka Pinback!) This little boy came to AFRP with his two brothers, lovingly deemed The Brady Bunch! Greg and his brothers arrived at Hitchcock Road Animal Services with a congenital defect known as eyelid agenesis (missing eyelids). The three of them required a special surgery to reconstruct their eyelids and now, they're ready to take on the world with a new point of view (literally)!

Greg is quite possibly one of the most loving lap-kittens around following his surgery. He had quite a rough start, fearful of most things because he wasn't able to see well. Due to this, he (and his brothers!) have had a slower start to their lives but Greg isn't letting this slow him down! He is shy at first with new energy or commotion but quickly warms up to every human he's met with his new gift of sight. His fosters say he is a cuddly boy!

His vocalizations are epic, with many tones and sounds to express his views, or just greeting you with pure joy. He curls into a tiny ball and holds your arm, making biscuits and practicing "I love you" blinks with his new eyelids. He was nicknamed by his fosters due to his original shyness, resulting in him constantly pinning his ears back as a young boy!

Greg would love to find a loving home with another friendly cat and may do fine with a cat-savvy dog in the home. It's very important a slow and gradual introduction is in place to ensure Greg's comfort and continued positive socialization.
