Pet of the Week: Meet Abigail and Celeste

Meet Abigail and Celeste! This pair are sisters from a litter surrendered to Our Neighborhood Pet Project when they partnered with SNIP bus to help the owner spay and neuter all their dogs and cat. ONPP has named them the Big Little Lies litter and will spay and neuter all of the puppies in the next week or so and they’ll be ready for adoption.

These 7-week-old girls are a long-haired terrier and chihuahua mix with possibly some spaniel or Papillon in the mix. Abigail and Celeste are both very playful and sweet. They do love to cuddle and settle in for naps on your lap.

At this youthful age, they play with each other a lot and also have adult dogs around them. Since both parents were about 12 lbs, we expect these puppies to be around 10-14 lbs. When they’re all grown up. Because they are so young, they should adjust well in any active household with children, cats, and dogs.

ONPP is a home-based rescue that has foster cats and dogs of all ages, sizes, and colors available for adoption. Their next adoption event is this Saturday at the Salinas PetSmart from 10 am to 2 pm and it’s also National Adoption Week!

Although Abigail and Celeste won’t be adoptable until after they are spayed, you are encouraged to submit an application early if you’re interested in either or both girls.
