Pet of the Week: Meet Marquesas

Meet Marquesas! She is a 5-month-old torbie kitten, which means this gorgeous girl
is a combination of a tortoiseshell and a tabby, giving her the striking
orange splotches mixed with brown that you see.

Marquesas

Marquesas and her sister Bella were found in King City this fall and they are both available for
adoption. They are part of the Shrimpgoby litter, one of many types of
marine life their scuba diving foster parents have seen.

Marquesas was a bit shy when she was rescued with her sister, but thanks to one of ONPP’s dedicated foster dads, has become very friendly and talkative. She has also become quite a climber and often perches on top of her crate or cat tree. Marquesas is living with other foster kittens and cats but prefers her sister’s company most. She would appreciate an active home with plenty of laps to nap on!

Marquesas

Our Neighborhood Pet Project (ONPP) is a home-based rescue with foster homes from Salinas down to King City, and their next adoption event is set for this Saturday at the Salinas Farmers Market from 10 am to 2 pm.
