Salinas Chick-fil-A brings the holiday cheer with a tunnel of lights

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The Chick-fil-A in Northridge Mall is sparkling this season with a drive thru lighted Christmas tunnel.

The manager Stephanie Solorio as well as the restaurant's owner decided to "bring some light to the community" with all of the chaos in the world right now.

Lights are turned on at 4:30 p.m. through the restaurant's closing hour and is visible from North Main Street.

The tunnel was supposed to be available for drive thru Friday, but it ended up being ready last Monday, with both customers as well as people just wanting to see it passing through.

In addition to the tunnel, Chick-fil-A will have its mascot cow dressed as Santa Claus out and about to cheer on the Black Friday shoppers.

"We want to alleviate the hustle and bustle of Black Friday and feed people so they can go out and continue their shopping," said Solorio.

People wanting to see the dazzling light tunnel can do so through January 4.
