CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The 4th of July this year is jam-packed with fun activities for the whole family. Check out what's going on in your neighborhoods.

Monterey County

Fireworks Displays:

• June 29th: Fort Hunter Liggett: “Freedom Fest,” Schoonover Airfield, 6:00 -10:00 p.m. ($5 admission)

• July 3rd: King City: Stampede Arena. Fireworks start about 9:00 p.m. ($1 suggested donation)

• July 4th: Greenfield: Patriot Park, 3:00 - 9:30 p.m.

Independence Day Events:

• King City: "4th of July Parade," Broadway & 2nd St. 10:30 a.m.

• Greenfield: "4th of July Event," Patriot Park, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. JUNE 2024

• Salinas: "Fireworks Extravaganza, Festival, Patriotic Service,” Rodeo Grounds, 4:00 - 9:00 p.m.

• Carmel-by-the-Sea: "Monterey County Pops,” Devendorf Park, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

• Monterey: "Old Monterey 4th of July Parade," Alvarado Street & Calle Principal, 10:00 a.m.

• Monterey: "July 4th on the Wharf," Fisherman's Wharf, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

• Monterey: "Big 4th of July Celebration and Backyard Food Fest," Colton Hall Lawn, 10:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

• Monterey: "Living History Day," Monterey State Historical Park, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

• Pacific Grove: "4th of July Celebration," Jewell Park, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

• Seaside: "Red White and Blues Festival," City Hall, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • Scotts Valley: "4th of July Parade and Flyover," Joe and Linda Aliberti Clubhouse (Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County), 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Santa Cruz: Sunrise Rotary's "4th of July Firecracker Race," Harvey West Park, 7 a.m.
  • Santa Cruz: "Wilder Ranch Old-Fashioned Independence Day," Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Aptos: "World's Shortest Parade," Aptos Village, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Watsonville: "Spirit of Watsonville 4th of July Parade," Watsonville Plaza, 12:30 p.m.
  • Watsonville: "Celebrate America's birthday," KOA Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay, July 4 - 7

San Benito County

Fireworks Displays:

  • July 4th: Hollister Municipal Airport. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. (Please bring lawn chairs and no coolers).

Independence Day Events:

  • Hollister: "July Kiddie Parade," San Benito Street in front of the Veterans Memorial Building, 10 a.m.

(South) Santa Clara County

Fireworks Display:

  • July 4th: Morgan Hill: "Fireworks on the Green," Outdoor Sports Center, 5:30 p.m.
  • July 4th: Gilroy: "Annual Fireworks Show," Gilroy High School, about 9:30 p.m.

Independence Day Events:

  • Morgan Hill: "Freedom Fest," Downtown Morgan Hill and Outdoor Sports Center, July 3 - 4
  • Gilroy: "Independence Day Celebration," Gilroy Gardens, July 4 - 7
