Montage Health reducing non-emergency, non-urgent outpatient services
MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) Montage Health announced that it will be making outpatient service changes due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Urgent and emergency services will stay open, according to the hospital, but others will be offered on a reduced schedule, in fewer locations or suspended through at least April 30.
Services that will go unchanged include:
- Emergency Department
- Infusion center
- Radiation oncology
- Wound care
Services that will be modified are:
- Behavioral health services- video visits only for most patients.
- Breast Care Center- diagnostic services only, no screening mammograms.
- Outpatient rehabilitation services- limited to post-operative and other hospital and inpatient Rehabilitation Unit discharges only. The Hartnell Professional Center location is open, but the Salinas and Marina locations are closed.
- Outpatient labs- Community Hospital and Ryan Ranch locations are open, but the Hartnell Professional Center campus is open 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Marina location is open 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Carmel location is open 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the first hour reserved for seniors and the Seaside location is closed.
- Outpatient radiology- the Community hospital location is open for nuclear medicine, the Ryan Ranch location is open, and both the Hartnell Professional Center and Marina location are closed.
- Cardiovascular imaging- the Garden Court location is open, but the Community Hospital location is open for inpatient only.
- Nutrition services- video visits only.
The outpatient services being suspended are:
- Cardiopulmonary wellness program
- Health resource library at Community Hospital
- Sleep disorders center
- Pulmonary function testing
The changes went into effect Friday.
