Jeanette studied journalism while at Harbor High School in Santa Cruz, as well as graduated with a bachelor's degree in print journalism from California State University, Long Beach. She lived and worked as an editor at a New York City magazine before returning to California to raise her family and continue writing. Jeanette has written and edited for hundreds of media outlets in addition to being a serial entrepreneur, author and performance artist. She joined the KION news team as their managing editor in April 2024, exercising her roots in fast-paced journalism.
