Burn victim recovering after accessory dwelling unit catches on fire

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- A burn victim is recovering after an accessory dwelling unit burst into flames on Friday morning.

The Zayante Fire Department said that they were called to a structure explosion. Units from Felton, Ben Lomond and AMR were dispatched to help.

The burn victim was taken to a local hospital via Fire Air Ambulance. There were no other injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
