San Lorenzo Park RV Campground to reopen in November

KING CITY, Calif. (KION-TV)- The County of Monterey said that the San Lorenzo Park RV Campground, used as an Alternate Housing site during the pandemic, will reopen to the public on Nov. 1.

The park was closed for public use and RV camping since April of 2020. The day-use part of the park was reopened in July 2021.

The Alternate Housing program ended earlier this year, and the trailers used for housing were removed in August, said the county.

Repairs and renovations were then made after clearing trailers, including shower building updates, picnic table repairs, repainting, replacing some charcoal BBQs, landscaping around bathrooms, rebuilding of the horseshoe pits and more.
