Santa Cruz boardwalk giving prizes to Giant Dipper riders on Friday

In honor of National Roller Coaster Day, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is giving prizes to the first 100 riders on the Giant Dipper on Friday, Aug. 16.

The first 100 riders will get a souvenir cup filled with a 32 ounce soft drink and unlimited .99 cent refills.

The Giant Dipper opens at 11 a.m., and the boardwalk said normal ticket and height restrictions apply.
