Sheriff’s Office busts illegal marijuana grow on Pine Canyon Road

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office busted an illegal marijuana cultivation in southern Monterey County.

It happened on the 53000 block of Pine Canyon Road. The Sheriff’s Office County of Monterey Marijuana Eradication Team along with investigators with the District Attorney’s Office, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Marina police and RMA served a search warrant at that location.

The Sheriff’s Office said they seized 1350 plants and a rifle. They said there are no suspects in custody right now, but they believe one suspect fled into the hills.

Deputies are continuing to investigate, and they ask that you call with any information that may help them with illegal marijuana growing operations in Monterey County.
