WATCH: King City 10-year-old plays with seven-time Grammy winners Los Tigres del Norte

Paso Robles, Calif. (KION-TV)- Iconic norteño band Los Tigres del Norte was in Paso Robles Saturday and made one 10-year-old Monterey County boy's night.

Juanito Aguilar Argueta, 10, King City, was asked to come on stage and play accordion alongside the legendary group at the Paso Robles Mid-State Fair.

"I was nervous…excited…," said Juanito about playing with the group.

The young man brought his accordion in hopes of playing with the legendary group, but... "it wasn't happening. So I told him, you know what, it's not doesn't look like it's going to happen," said Gabriel Aguilar, Juanito's father. "Do you just want to take a picture up, close that stage? And he said, yes, I'm good with that. And this poor kid just seen him play. And he just pointed out to him, and he just told him, come back around and see us over here."

Then Jorge, the band's accordion player and singer, invited Juanito on stage.

The moment is surreal for Juanito and his family.  "I wasn't expecting that. But when I saw my son up there, it was very hard of a shock, emotional, excited, happy for him," said Maria Aguilar, Juanito's mother. "And I was, too, because Los Tigres del Norte is one of our favorite bands."

Juanito's father, Gabriel, said his son started playing accordion when he was eight. Juanito's love of music started when he was a little boy and saw his father and older brothers playing.

Almost everyone in Juanito's family plays music. That tradition started with Juanito's grandfather, that has passed, who loved to play the accordion at family parties.
