Downtown Ambassadors hit the streets of Santa Cruz
To help make the downtown area of Santa Cruz more positive for visitors, employees and residents, a new program is being rolled out.
Starting in October the Downtown Management Corporation of Santa Cruz started their Downtown Ambassador program.
“Ambassadors strive to provide positive and memorable experiences for everyone in Downtown Santa Cruz, whether they are visiting from another part of the world, or they live and work in the neighborhood,” according to the Downtown Santa Cruz website.
They make rounds daily on Pacific Avenue and side streets along the main corridor.
They have also rolled out an app to alert the ambassadors of any problems in the area, it is called “SeeClickFix” which will connect you to your Ambassadors, keep you updated on downtown information and provide a convenient portal for reporting things like messes left on the sidewalk, abandoned bicycles, damaged benches, or anything that needs attention in the neighborhood.
