Felon busted with loaded AR-15 rifle and drugs in San Benito County
A routine traffic stop turned into the arrest of a felon in possession of a loaded gun and drugs in San Benito County.
According to the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office, Raul Cecena was pulled over for a mechanical violation on September 5.
Deputies found Cecena in possession of three-and-a-half pounds of methamphetamine, a digital scale and narcotics packaging believed to be used for selling drugs.
“Most troubling, an untraceable AR-15 rifle with a high capacity magazine containing 19 bullets were in the vehicle,” said the sheriff’s office.
Cecena was booked into the San Benito County Jail on multiple charges, including but not limited to; possession of narcotics for sale, possession of narcotics while armed, felon in possession of a firearm/ ammunition, and committing felony while out on bail.
