Marina: Burglar caught with fraudulent credit cards & $2,000 worth of stolen items
A Salinas man was caught with thousands of dollars worth of stolen items in Marina.
During a vehicle check in the 3200 block of Dunes Drive, Marina Police found the suspect, Claudio Morales Navarrete.
“Further investigation revealed Morales Navarette was in possession of numerous items including credit cards and identification cards belonging to multiple individuals who were later confirmed to be victims of vehicle burglaries reported to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and Pacific Grove Police Department,” said Marina PD.
Navarrete was also in possession of about $2,000 worth of new tools and clothing which had been purchased with credit cards that had been stolen from a car.
Investigators with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office had been looking into the car burglary and fraud case and already had evidence connecting Navarette to the crimes.
Navarette was booked into Monterey County Jail.
