Fire at Marina abandoned housing development
A fire that threw up a large black plume of smoke in the Marina area is now contained.
Marina’s fire chief told KION that the fire started in an abandoned housing development near Patch Court.
The blaze started in the Cypress Knolls area of Marina just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Fire crews from Marina, Seaside, Presidio and North County responded.
The fire was quickly contained, according to the Marina Fire Department. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
