Person of interest in King City shooting

King City Police have a person of interest in connection with the King City shooting at the Silver Saddle motel earlier this week.

At 7.00 a.m. today, as part of ongoing investigations, King City Police Department, along with investigators from the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office and Monterey County Sheriff’s Office served four search warrants in connection to this shooting.

Branson Barber, 19, of King City, was identified as a person of interest.

King City Police Department would like to thank the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office and the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office for their ongoing assistance in the investigation of this case.

This is the third arrest made at the Silver Saddle Motel shooting in King City on Tuesday however no arrests have been made in the high school shooting which happened earlier that same day.
