Monterey County wants you to report storm damage

Monterey County and local cities are asking residents who suffered significant storm damage to their home, business or property to report that damage immediately. The county says it could help qualify our area for federal aid to rebuild. To get that help local governments have to report the damage to the state.

The county has put together a residential and commercial damage survey to help you report the damage. The surveys are available online from the Monterey County Office of Emergency Services Virtual Local Assistance Center which can be accessed from the Monterey County website: www.co.monterey.ca.us . You can also find other helpful information for disaster recovery there.

The survey is just to help the county gather information, not an application for help.
