Saturday Monterey County Road Closures

If you’re out and about Saturday, you’ll want to make sure to avoid the 29 road closures the county has listed.

And watch out for trampolines in odd places. KION received several reports of trampolines flying out of yards and into streets and power lines.

The road closures are due to trees, power lines and power poles down.

Here’s a look at just some of those closures which went into effect Friday 2/17 following cyclone force winds in some areas. All closures are described as “indefinite.”

Blackie Road: From Mile Marker 2.5 to Prunedale South Road

Boronda Road: From Madison Lane to end of Road

Castroville Boulevard: Near Archer Road and between Collins Road and Monte Del Lago

Prunedale North Road: At intersect with Hwy 156

Prunedale South Road: At intersect with Blackie Road

San Benancio Road: At intersect with Hwy 68

San Juan Grade Road: From Middlefield Road to Herbert Road and Herbert Road to Rogge Road

San Miguel Canyon Road: From Echo Valley Road to the Ponderosa Pond
