Castroville sinkhole closes Elkhorn Road
Monterey County public works crews are making emergency repairs to a small sinkhole that is developing on Elkhorn Road near Walker Valley Road in Castroville.
According to officials, rain from storms earlier this week saturated the ground and caused the land to shift.
A portion of Elkhorn Road is closed during the repairs. A detour has been set up at Strawberry Road.
