Uvas Creek floods, closes roadway in Gilroy
Silva’s Crossing, the bridge on Miller Avenue that spans Uvas Creek near Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy, is closed due to water over-topping the roadway.
The Gilroy Fire Department posted the closure Wednesday afternoon, saying water was moving at a rapid rate and urging people to avoid the area.
