Robbery suspects arrested in Salinas
Two men accused of robbing a Salinas resident are now in the Monterey County Jail.
Salinas Police said 18-year-old Trampas Carter and 19-year-old Jordan Duerloo stopped someone on North Main Street and East Curtis Street on Saturday, December 31st, and demanded his necklace.
Duerloo pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim while grabbing the piece of jewelry.
Duerloo and Carter then took off in a nearby vehicle, but an officer happened to be driving by when the two were driving off. The victim told the officer he was robbed at gunpoint and several officers were then called to the area.
Salinas police officers later arrested Duerloo and Carter. They also searched their vehicle and found a loaded handgun along with the victim’s necklace.
