Seaside man sentenced to prison for strangling girlfriend
SEASIDE, Calif. (KION) A Seaside man has been sentenced to two years in prison for strangling his girlfriend.
In February, police responded to a report of domestic violence, and when they got there, a woman told them her boyfriend, 32-year-old Karlos English, had strangled her.
The woman said she was sleeping next to English at his home when he woke her up, yelling about videos and pictures on her phone that showed her with other men. She told English she wanted to leave, but he straddled her so she could not get off the bed. While he was on top of her, English started strangling her and cutting off her air flow. She said he told her he was going to kill her and himself.
Officers saw red marks on the woman's neck that were consistent with being strangled. He was sentenced to two years in prison for corporal injury on a dating partner.
