Gov. Gavin Newsom expected to sign affordable housing legislation

ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Gov. Gavin Newsom was in Alameda County on Tuesday to sign legislation that plans to expand and streamline affordable housing production. He also expects it will strengthen accountability for local governments and advance equitable housing policies as part of the state’s comprehensive strategy to tackle the housing crisis.
