A swimmer is swept off the rocks at Panther State Beach
DAVENPORT, Calif. (KION)
UPDATE Sept. 15, 2021 -- Cal Fire CZU reports that multiple agencies were able to locate a body at 5:50 p.m. but they couldn't reach the swimmer until the tide receded to retrieve the victim.
Before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, there were multiple 911 calls about a person swept into the ocean. CZU reported that a 30-year-old male was standing on the rocks in Panther State Beach with the water pulled him in.
PREVIOUS STORY: A swimmer was swept off the rocks at Panther State Beach, south of Davenport. Cal Fire CZU reported an ocean rescue at 5 p.m., tweeted there are multiple swimmers searching for the missing person.
Santa Cruz Fire Department, Central Fire District of Santa Cruz County, Santa Cruz Harbor Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard were all on scene.
