Ben Lomond man arrested after leading officers on car chase in stolen car
A Ben Lomond man faces eight charges, three of which are felonies, after allegedly leading CHP officers on a car chase through Aptos Monday. Making matters worse — CHP said he was driving a stolen car.
According to the CHP, officers located the stolen Hyundai Sonata on Soquel Drive on Monday. Behind the wheel — Kristoffer Hostetter.
Hostetter drove off, hitting two cars along the way, according to officers.
The CHP reports he eventually got out of the car and tried to run away. That’s when officers arrested him.
Hostetter’s charges include auto theft, possession of a stolen car, reckless evading, two hit & runs, suspended driver’s license, possession of meth and possession of marijuana.
