Watsonville police arrest alleged tagger early Monday morning

A Watsonville man is facing a felony vandalism charge after he was arrested in connection with graffiti on a local Walgreens and vacant Blockbuster Video building, police said.

Officers said the incident happened early Monday morning in the 1800 block of Freedom Boulevard. Suspect Gil Ramos, 21, was arrested as he tried to run from the scene, police said.

Officers said they found more than three dozen graffiti markings with an ink marker on business walls, windows and pillars.

Ramos was booked in the Santa Cruz County Jail.
