Salinas man sentenced to 28 years in prison after molesting two children
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) Update Sept. 5, 2023, at 5:06 p.m.- The Monterey County District Attorney's Office said that a 51-year-old from Salinas was sentenced for three felony counts after molesting two female children.
Marco Antonio Serna, 51, was convicted of two counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child under 14 and one count of lewd acts upon a child under 14. Serna will also have to register as a sex offender for life.
Jane Doe said that Serna molested her for over four years starting from when she was six years old. Jane Doe 2 said that Serna sexually assaulted her during a two-year span starting when she was four years old.
Serna will now spend 28 years in prison for his crimes.

A Salinas man has been arrested as part of a child molestation investigation.
Salinas police say 49-year-old Marco Antonio Serna is accused of molesting two young girls over the course of several years.
He was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges and booked into the Monterey County Jail. His bail is listed at $7.3 million.
