New mountain lion sighting in Santa Cruz’s westside Tuesday morning
Santa Cruz Police say a thorough check of the surrounding neighborhood where a mountain lion was spotted Tuesday morning has been completed with no sign of the puma.
Police and the Dept of Fish & Wildlife responded to the 100 block of Los Ondas Court on the upper west side of town after a call that a person saw a mountain lion in their backyard around 8:00a.m.
Residents were advised to use caution and secure small pets and children. A reverse 911 call was placed to residents in the area to advise.
