Monday: There will be a few low clouds along the coast with highs in the 60s. It will be sunny inland with highs in the upper 50s to upper 60s.
Tuesday: It will be sunny and warmer with widespread highs in the upper 60s to low 70s! Clouds will be on the increase Christmas eve as Northwesterly winds pick up along the coast. A cold front will pass by on Christmas day and cooler temperatures will follow. There is an outside chance of some light rain on Christmas day. While highs toward the end of the week will be close to normal, above normal low temperatures should come to a halt as dry air settles in.
A coastal flood advisory is in effect through 3:00pm. Tuesday there will be higher than normal high tides – a king tide – in addition to increased west swell, which could result in flooding along the immediate coast, sloughs and marshes.
The outlook for December 29th to January 4th calls for slightly above normal temperatures and slightly below normal precipitation.
