CHP: 1 person dead in car accident off HWY 101 at Teague Avenue
The California Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle accident that left one person dead.
CHP said they got a call just after 7 a.m. Sunday about a vehicle off an embankment off Highway 101 at Teague Avenue in south Monterey County.
CHP said when they arrived they noticed a man inside the vehicle. CHP is not releasing the his identity.
The male may have fallen asleep at the wheel, CHP said.
CHP said they are trying to figure out the time of the accident adding the male was dead probably hours before they arrived.
