Police looking for runaway driver after hit-and-run in Watsonville

California Highway Patrol and Watsonville police are looking for whoever hit a 55-year-old Watsonville woman on West Rodriguez Street and Riverside Drive that happened around 8:4-0 p.m. Thursday.

Officers say the woman was walking with her friend in the crosswalk when it happened. She was flown to the Bay Area with moderate head injuries.

The woman she was walking with was not hit.

Officers are looking for a Hispanic male adult driving a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee. He was the only one in the vehicle.
