Teen Arrested After Allegedly Beating 71-Year-Old Man

A 71-year-old man is in intensive care and a 16-year-old is under arrest after a wild house party in Aptos.

Deputies say they warned the party-goers to break up Saturday night on Skyward Drive.

After they left, deputies say an elderly man went to tell the party-goers to quiet down. The man was then allegedly assaulted by a 16-year-old boy from Aptos.

The teenager is now in juvenile hall.

The elderly man continues to be monitored in the intensive care unit.
