Deputies spotted a minivan matching the description, just south of Salinas, and a high risk stop was conducted. 6 males were detained and a search of the van yielded 2 handguns. 2 Adults and 4 juveniles were taken into custody.

Synopsis:I attempted to stop a vehicle for numerous vehicle code violations. The vehicle failed to yield and fled with disregard for public safety. A pursuit ensued and the driver, Kurt BARRINGTON (DOB 10-23-64) eventually stopped. He was suspected to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Open containers of alcohol were located inside the vehicle. BARRINGTON’s driver license was suspended for violation of California Vehicle Code 23152. He was on Santa Cruz County probation for violation of California Vehicle Code 23152. BARRINGTON was turned over to the California Highway Patrol for further investigation and booked into county jail.
