Tracking Santa This Christmas Eve

Kids all over the world are calling into Colorado Springs this Christmas Eve.

This is where NORAD, or North American Aerospace Defence Command, is tracking Santa Claus.

More than 1,000 volunteers are manning the phone this year for a program that started in 1955 after a misprinted telephone number in a local newspaper.

One child wanted to know where Santa was and the commander on duty responded. This is when it grew to be a huge operation each year.
