Long-term lane closure scheduled on US-101 through King City

KING CITY, Calif. (KION) - The $78 million Caltrans pavement rehabilitation construction project on US-101 near King City is scheduled to enter a new phase that will come with a new long-term lane closure.

Starting Monday December 14, the left lane of northbound US-101, will be closed from First St. to just north of the Jolon Rd. exit. It's expected to remain closed through July 2021.

There will also be a shift in lane closures on northbound US-101 between Wildhorse Rd. and First Street starting Monday, December 14th. The closures will shift from the right lane to the left lane.

All lanes of northbound side of US-101 from south of Wildhorse Rd. to First St. are expected to be back open after December 23rd, 2020.

Caltrans is reminding drivers to make sure they move over and slow down when driving through work zones on the highway.
