Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office writes poem about driving in the rain

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office found a creative way to remind drivers about the do's and don't's of driving in rain.

The Sheriff's Office wrote a poem called "Driving in the Rain," and it goes like this:

There’s water falling from the sky,
which means the ground is far from dry.
Your car may slip and slide a bit
that’s why you should drive under the speed limit.
There’s also things on the front of your car,
they are called headlights and help you see near and far.
Please use them when your windshield wipers are on,
it’s not only a good idea, but required by law.
Leave enough time to get where you need to go,
tailgating the person in front of you is a big no no.
We leave you with one last piece of advice
we’re all dealing with the rain, so just be NICE.
