Monterey Bay Economic Partnership to host virtual housing resource fair

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey Bay Economic Partnership's Housing Initiative is hosting a virtual Salinas Valley housing resource fair Thursday.

The virtual event is intended to be an opportunity to share housing updates and resources to help Salinas Valley residents and share information about disaster relief efforts, housing opportunities and share programs and services available from local nonprofits.

During the event, Congressman Jimmy Panetta is expected to provide updates on the CARES Act, how it is helping the Salinas Valley and additional relief.

Senator Anna Caballero is also expected to talk about her new legislation that is part of the State Senate's Housing Package, and Assemblymember Robert Rivas will provide updates on housing legislation and talk about his farmworker relief legislation.

The event is set to start at 5 p.m. Thursday, and participants can register here.
