Seabreeze building suffers significant structural damage in overnight fire

APTOS, Calif. (KION) The historic building that housed the Seabreeze Tavern suffered significant structural damage in a fire overnight.

The Aptos/La Selva Fire Protection District said crews battled the fire Sunday night and into Monday morning at the building on Esplanade Drive.

Firefighters from the Central Fire Protection District, the Watsonville Fire Department and CalFire worked with Aptos/La Selva crews, and it was contained to one building.

Nobody was injured, but fire crews said there was significant structural damage and extremely hazardous conditions.
