Cool temps, showers, through midweek

Cool and showery conditions are on tap for the next few days, as a cold front will arrive Tuesday afternoon, bringing another shot of cool air and a few rounds of showers. Unstable northwesterly flow will allow for additional shower chances Wednesday and Thursday, all the while keeping temperatures cool. High pressure will then build in as we head into the weekend. Warmer, dryer conditions expected.

Tuesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers spreading over the area from north to south. Expect highs in the 50s with occasional breezy conditions.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows in the 40s.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with scattered showers. Cool and breezy with highs in the 50s. Winds could get gusty on the coast at times. A small craft advisory will posted for Monterey Bay.

Extended: Rain chances will begin to wind down on Thursday, but an isolated shower or two will be possible along with chilly, blustery conditions. Conditions become more tranquil, but still cool on Friday. Temperatures will warm up through the weekend with highs returning close to if not above normal by Sunday/Monday.                                                                                                                                            The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for March 31st – April 6th calls for the likelihood of BELOW temperatures and near normal precipitation.
