One person missing in Pebble Beach after extremely high surf

CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KION-TV) -- One person has been reported missing in Pebble Beach following the high tides that broke along the coast Monday.

The Monterey County Sheriff's Office says that search efforts are likely to become recovery efforts for the missing person in Pebble Beach.

Cal Fire said crews responded to a call on Ocean Road after it was reported someone was swept off the rocks into the water.

A search was launched, but later suspended due to ocean conditions.

CBS News reported that according to Cal Fire, the Coast Guard will be launching a recovery search in Pebble Beach once conditions improve.
