What to know about the death of a woman who was set on fire in a New York City subway train
NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police have arrested a man on murder and arson charges in the death of a woman who was set on fire inside a subway train. Sebastian Zapeta had yet to be arraigned after being led out of a police precinct in a white jumpsuit on Tuesday. Police say surveillance video from Sunday morning showed a man calmly approach the woman, who has yet to be identified, aboard a stationary train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station in Brooklyn and then set her on fire. Zapeta was arrested later that day after police received a tip from a group of teenagers.
