Second annual Paraluman Festival returns to Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The second annual Paraluman Festival is returning to Salinas this weekend in celebration of Filipino American culture.

The free event's name, 'Paraluman,' means 'enlightenment' in Tagalog.

During the event, participants can expect to see cultural performers, enjoy a variety of vendors as well as food and art.

People looking to attend the festival can join on Saturday between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Filipino Community of the Salinas Valley building on Calle Cebu.
