Trina Coffman-Gomez

Statement:

  • I am running to be your representative for the City of Watsonville District 6. With your vote, I will accept the responsibilities and duties as yourCouncilmember to return to duty as your ambassador and fiscal steward; with my expertise to advocate for equitable housing and transportation as well as to seek solutions to address our chronic homelessness crisis.
  • My family has been an integral part of the City of Watsonville for four generations; having graduated from PVUSD, been employed within our robust agricultural valley, as well as being a leader and role model serving humanitarian organizations serving as President of Pajaro Valley Arts, Advisory Board Chairwoman for Salvation Army, Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year, Past President for Freedom Rotary and District Chairwoman for Scouting America.
  • As a mortgage real estate broker for more than two decades, I know that we are the most expensive county in the nation for housing and I comprehend the urgency to attract sustainable wages and know how to tackle homeownership challenges and opportunities.
  • In addition, I previously served as your representative on the SCCRTC, SC Metro, AMBAG, LAFCO, CAB, PV Health Trust, CCCE.
  • Thank you for your vote.
