According to officials, the Violence Suppression Task Force (VSTF) has been investigating ongoing gang activity in the encampments around the W. Lake St and Bridge Alley area.
On June 26th, a search warrant was served for the encampment that included 7 tents. During the search, VSTF, Investigations, and patrol officers found a .45 caliber M&P handgun, a .12-gauge sawed-off shotgun, two .22 revolvers, several handgun magazines, five and a half ounces of meth, a little over grams of heroin, two grams of powder fentanyl, 155 M30 fentanyl pills, and a fully functional hand grenade.
