Monterey Bay F.C. hopes to rebound in U.S. Open Cup matchup against Sacramento Republic FC

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Monterey Bay F.C. looks to get back in the win column in their Open Cup matchup against Sacramento Republic FC.

Their match scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at Heart Health Park in Sacramento.

The Crisp and Kelp are fresh off their loss against the Indy Eleven on Saturday. A 1-0 defeat that saw the team play well, but not well enough to get the three points in the USL Championship standings.

USL Championship play is being put aside for Open Cup tournament play today on the road against Sacramento Republic.

These teams met previously last season when Monterey Bay took a 1-0 loss on August 5th.
